METHOD FOR MANAGING COIN CHANGES ON DISTRIBUTION STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A method for managing coin changes on a distribution structure is provided to automatically pay the coin changes on a comsumer's account, by operating point of sale(POS) terminals of cash registers without paying the coin changes to the customer in stores. CONSTITUTION: A system is connected to cash registers, electronic data interchange value-added networks(EDI VAN), and banks. A method for managing coin changes on a distribution structure in the system, comprises the steps of: identifying whether a comsumer is a member if the customer buys products; if not, registering the customer as a member; if the customer is the member, calculating changes in a cash register, and calculating coins among the calculated changes; inputting whether the customer takes the coin changes or not in the cash register; if not, making the cash register print/output amounts of the coin changes in a receipt; transmitting the coin changes amounts and the customer's account number to a corresponding bank through the EDI VAN; making the bank retrieve the customer's account number to receive the coin changes on the customer's account.
