PURPOSE: An apparatus for testing the performance of a printer is provided to test the printer performance regardless of manufacturers of printers and easy to carry since a computer for transmitting a printing data for testing performance is not necessary. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for testing the performance of a printer includes a pack stored with files for testing performance of a printer, and a demo kit having an inserting part(320) for inserting the pack, a setting part(340) for selecting one of the files stored in the pack and generating a printing instruction for outputting the selected file, and a controller part(310) for receiving a signal for inserting the pack from the inserting part and generating a control signal to transmit the selected file to the printer according to the printing instruction for outputting the selected file, wherein the demo kit further includes a power source part(330) to be supplied with power changed according to the type of the printer.
