PURPOSE: A method for copying memory data in a cellular phone is provided to copy the data stored in a memory of the cellular phone into a destination memory in response to selections of a skip or a dump, without deleting the data stored therein, resulting in an efficient management of the memory of the cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: If a copy function is selected(201), the data stored in a non-volatile memory of the cellular phone is copied into an allocated RAM(205). Copy menus are displayed on an LCD(207). If a copy menu is selected(209), a state of the selected copy menu is displayed thereon(211) and then addresses of the target memory to be copied and a destination memory are inputted(213),(215). If the space for the target memory is equal to that for the destination memory(217) and then a memory dump is selected(231), the data of the target memory is copied into the destination memory(243). If the space of the destination memory is not vacant(225), the data in the destination memory is moved to a vacant space of the destination memory(227) and displayed thereon(229). If a skip copy is selected(233), the data stored in the first address destination memory and the address are displayed(235) prior to the copy from the target to the destination(239).
