PURPOSE: An interface structure of an inter-processor communication(IPC) in trunk boards of a switching center is provided to efficiently interface the trunk boards of a host switching center and remote switching center according to the IPC, by mounting the trunk boards on a trunk backboard, connecting the trunk boards to an IPC board via a common IPC bus and cable, and installing an additional trunk board on an existing trunk backboard without a limitation of a location. CONSTITUTION: An IPC board(I) is connected to a trunk backboard(20) via a single IPC cable(CBL). An IPC bus of the trunk backboard(20) is connected to the IPC cable(CBL), and thereby the IPC board(I) transmits and receives data to/from a plurality of trunk boards(A-H) via the IPC cable(CBL) and IPC bus. The transmission and reception of data are performed in a time shared manner, so that the data can be transmitted and received between the IPC board(I) and trunk boards(A-H), with the trunk boards(A-H) being distinguished from each other. The IPC bus is installed on a trunk backboard by a printed wiring.
