PURPOSE: A method for managing the performance of a digital cross-connected system(DCS) between base stations is provided to improve the quality of a transmission performance and line performance, and enable the management thereof, by periodically monitoring and collecting the performance data reported from the DCS, supplying a performance history search and statistical function based on a database. CONSTITUTION: DCSs(31,32) reports(201) performance report messages to a center server(21), and the server(21) collects and analyzes the performance report messages to transmit(202) to a performance monitor(22). The performance monitor(22) stores(203) the received messages in a database(24). A performance managing unit(23) searches the performance information by various conditions and calculates a statistical value referring the database(24). The unit(23) sends(204,207) an inquiry message and control message to the DCSs(31,32) via the server(21). A response message from the DCSs(31,32) is sent(208) to the unit(23). A performance managing unit(12) of a center(10) remotely accesses(210) the database(24) to provide the functions of a history inquiry and statistics.
