METHOD FOR PRODUCING AGGLOMERATE OF POWDER REFINED ORE FROM STEEL MAKING SLAG

PURPOSE: A method for producing an agglomerate is provided to be used as an iron source in a pre-furnace process or as an iron substitute in a mini-mill electric-furnace process by adding a proper combiner after recollecting powder refined ore with under 8mm from steel producing slag. CONSTITUTION: Iron particles with 60% of iron ingredient and 8mm of fineness are used as the iron source of a pre-furnace or an electric furnace with a scrap. The divided concentrate with 60% of iron ingredient and 8mm of fineness is collected for being crushed by using a rod mill(3) to eliminate foreign materials. Then, the crushed and divided concentrate with 86.5% of iron ingredient and under 6.5mm of fineness is selected by using a magnetic force selection(4) or a vacuum screen(6). The selected divided concentrate is mixed with a combiner formed by molasses and caustic lime at a ratio of 73.5-86.5:13.5-26.5 for producing an agglomerate by passing through an agglomerate producer(9). Herein, the agglomerate with 30mm of fineness is used as the iron source while producing the agglomerate again by using the agglomerate with under 30mm of fineness.
