PURPOSE: A method for advertisement using the ATM is provided to display an advertisement of the user's preference on the ATM monitor while awaiting completion of transaction and to print the advertisement on the receipt. CONSTITUTION: A method for advertisement using the ATM is composed of input of information, store of data, and display of advertisement. First time ATM users input their personal information, such as age, sex, and income, and the ATM supervisor inputs advertisements that targets the individual in the service device(S1). A data processor selects an advertisement for the user(S2) and stores it in data storage1. New advertisement data is received and stored in data storage1 by data supervisor. The data processor receives the user's personal information from a central information service device, identifies user(S4), outputs selected advertisement data from S2(S5), and sends it to the teller machine. The control unit checks for the completion of transaction(S7), and if incomplete, continue to display advertisements, if complete the user is asked if he desires different sort of advertisement. If he desires renewal, personal information is transmitted and renewed, if not the transaction and the process is complete(S9).
