PURPOSE: A call setup method in the intelligent network using R2 signaling is provided to prevent a call fail state caused by the time out of an incoming state standby time, set up on the originating side switching point during the execution of receiving reattempt. CONSTITUTION: An incoming trunk line seizure is requested to a TKC(TrunK Control) of a SSP(Service Switching Point) through a R2 inter-office trunk line(201). The TKC generates an incoming trunk line child for a call to seize one incoming trunk line and annunciates a LGSI(Local and Global Service Interface) that the incoming trunk line was seized(202). If the LGSI receives the incoming trunk line seizure annunciation message, the LGSI transmits digit information received from a LE(Local Exchange) to the TKC(203). The TKC requests number translation for the received digit information to a NTR(Number TRanslation)(204). If the translation result is annunciated(205), the TKC requests an incoming number to the LGSI(206), and the LGSI requests an incoming number to an originating side switching point.
