PURPOSE: A device for winding a seat belt having a bent-typed gas generator is provided to improve the assembling property by reducing a size of gas generator and a number of components and to easily apply to a small vehicle. CONSTITUTION: On a clash during traveling a vehicle, a current is supplied to a wire(32) by detecting a clashed state and a gas is generated by igniting a gunpowder(36) in an igniting portion(34). When much gas is generated by exploding the gunpowder(36), a piston(42) is moved through a pipe of gas generator(40) during filling the gas in a rear side of piston(42). A horizontal moving shaft(50) fixed in the piston(42) with a combining screw is moved leftward. A second active pinion(70) supported in a rotating shaft(65) is integrally rotated during rotating a first active pinion(60) butted in a rack gear(54). When the second active pinion(70) is rotated, a gear tooth is butted in a gear tooth of passive pinion(80) by removing from a curved portion(72) and a supporting shaft(85) is rotated by transferring a power. When the supporting shaft(85) is rotated, a belt(20) is wound in an opposite direction by integrally rotating a winding portion(25) supported in a supporting body(10).
