PURPOSE: A method is provided to embody a player driven in a state changed set values of screen quality and sound in a real time at playing. CONSTITUTION: By inserting an optical disc in a DVD(Digital Video Disk) drive of a computer system, it is checked if a format of a file stored in the optical disc is an UDF(Universal Disk Format) format. The CD is recognized as a DVD ROM if the format is UDF format and the CD is recognized as a general CD if the format is not the UDF format. It is checked if the file stored inside the DVD or the CD is a *.INF file. The file is automatically played in recognizing as the DVD and it is checked if the file is a *.VOB file in recognizing as the CD. The file is automatically played through a media player if the file is the *.VOB file. When the file is not the *.VOB file, the file is automatically played if the file is a file applied the play in the media player by checking.
