LOWER SUBSTRATE FOR PLASMA DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a lower substrate for a plasma display device is provided to improve the resolution of a plasma display device by forming a cross wall. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of cross walls are formed by etching the upper portion of a metal substrate. An insulating layer is formed on the front surface of the cross wall. An electrode layer is formed on the upper portion of the insulating layer so as to be insulated from the metal substrate. A dielectric layer is formed on the front surface of the cross wall which includes the electrode layer. A thermal expansion maintaining layer made of a glass or a ceramic is formed to maintain the thermal expansion coefficient.
