MANUFACTURING METHOD OF EXTRACELLULAR POLYMER FROM CULTURE BROTH OF CORDYCEPS MILITARIS MYCELIUM AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: An extracellular polymer isolated from culture broth of Cordyceps militaris mycelium having the highest anti-complement activity is provided. The extra polymer has excellent effect on reducing blood lipid. CONSTITUTION: An extracellular polymer can be isolated by the following steps: a) culture broth of Cordyceps militaris mycelium is centrifuged to separate mycelium and supernatant; b) the supernatant is mixed with ethanol in the ratio of 1:3 and then centrifuged; c) the precipitation from step b) is freeze dried, solubilized in distilled water then centrifuged; d) the supernatant from step c) is dialysed for 3 days and then freeze dried to get extracellular polymer which is useful for development of bio-medicinal industry.
