PURPOSE: A method for interfacing data with a memory card is provided to be capable of interfacing with a multi-media card(MMC) and a multi-media read only memory(ROM), by selectively using a communication protocol corresponding to a kind of the memory card while selectively switching an unilateral serial peripheral interface(SPI) exclusive port to a bilateral general input/output port. CONSTITUTION: A method for interfacing data with a memory card has three steps. A first step is to confirm a communication mode supported by the memory card. A second step is to select a communication protocol corresponding to the confirmed supporting communication mode. A third step is to perform a data communication with the memory card by using the selected communication protocol.
