PURPOSE: An ink level measuring device of a wet type printer is provided to detect an amount of residual ink regardless of viscosity of the ink by providing a magnetic float to be contact with an inner wall of an ink case at a point, thereby preventing printing errors due to the lack of ink. CONSTITUTION: An ink level measuring device of a wet type printer includes an ink case(10) a first part(12) for receiving ink and a second part(13) defined by a plurality of walls in a predetermined space of the first part for freely introducing the ink, a magnetic float(20) made of a material having a lower specific gravity than the ink for providing information on a level of the ink stored in the second part of the ink case according to a vertical displacement and having a wider upper part and a narrower lower part for point-contact with the walls while floating, a magnetic sensor(17h,17r,17l) positioned under the influence of a magnetic field of the magnetic float to detect the ink level according to a height of the magnetic float, and an ink level measuring part(18) for measuring the level of the ink stored in the ink case according to an electric signal output from the magnetic sensor.
