Method and device for demapping digital video

The method involves the linear division of ranges of received data values on a same-phase component axis and a quadrature component axis, and outputting a range division value. The mean square error is calculated form the received data to produce channel state information (CSI). The produced CSI value is multiplied with the range division value, and the result is output for quantisation. An Independent claim is included for an image restoration method. An apparatus and a DVB-T receiver system are also claimed.
