PURPOSE: A digital broadcast receiver is provided to perform a slow display on a sub-screen by storing the I picture of the scene in an additional memory when a user requires to watch a specific scene slowly. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcast receiver includes a key input portion(19), a signal dividing portion(12), a first and second storing portions(14,15), a signal processing portion(13), and a control portion(18). The key input portion inputs a slow display key signal. The signal dividing portion selects a video, a audio and a data stream from an input TS(Transport Stream). The signal processing portion stores a video stream output from the signal dividing portion in the first storing portion, selects I, B and P picture data from the stored video stream, and outputs the I picture as a slow display. The control portion outputs the I, B and P picture data output from the storing portion onto one of PIP, stores I picture of the picture data in the second storing portion, and outputs the I picture onto the other of the PIP as a slow display, when the slow display key signal is applied from the key input portion. |
