PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting reception system with a power saving function in a program for audio is provided to perform a power saving function by intercepting the power of a CRT according to a user's request. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcasting reception system with a power saving function in a program for audio comprises a demultiplexer(11), a controller(12), an MPEG decoder(13), a CRT(15), and a switch(17). The demultiplexer divides service information/program specific information, and a program. The controller detects the program comprising only an audio by using the information within the divided service information/program specific information and controls operations of each block according to the detected result. The MPEG decoder decodes video/audio data. The CRT displays the decoded video data. The switch provides the power to the CRT according to a control operation of the controller. |
