PURPOSE: A method for protecting automatic earth magnetism compensation circuit is provided to cut off the power supply to the compensation circuit automatically after degaussing, to prevent erroneous impact from occurring. CONSTITUTION: A method for protecting automatic earth magnetism compensation circuit includes first and second steps. The compensation circuit according to the present invention includes an element circuit, a relay(18), and a controller(34). The element circuit includes a posistor(28) and a degaussing coil(16). At the first step, the relay(18) is turned on to connect the power supply to the element circuit. At the second step, the relay(18) is turned off after a predetermined time interval to disconnect the outer power supply from the element circuit.
