PURPOSE: A storage capacitor structure of a liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase storage capacitance of the storage capacitor in order to improve the quality of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A storage capacitor structure of a liquid crystal display device includes a substrate(, a gate line(41L), a gate dielectric layer and an electrode for storage capacitor. The gate line(41L) is formed on the substrate and has a non-planar surface. The gate dielectric layer is implemented so as to cover the gate line. The electrode for storage capacitor is formed on the gate dielectric layer so as to be imposed on the gate line.
