PURPOSE: A method for updating a key generation function in a authentication system and a method for generating a secret key using the same are provided to prevent an illegal use of a service by using random numbers when a base station does not have a secret key of a terminal in a wireless communication authentication system such as CT-2. CONSTITUTION: A method for updating a key generation function in an authentication system and a method for generating a secret key using the same comprise the following steps. Input data are loaded to compose input data by using profiles of a terminal and random numbers for key generation. Variables of the input data are set up as other constant numbers. Operations of predetermined steps are performed by scrambling the input data. A secret key is output.
