PURPOSE: A method for resetting information in a communication system is provided to allow a user to recognize the information on phone call time and the number of the phone calls for a certain period, enable an automatic reset of a type of bell sounds at a certain time and for a certain period, by adding a function that automatically reset the information selected by the user to a cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: If one of function menus is called(500) in response to a user's input(500a), the function menus are displayed on a displayer of the cellular phone(501). a reset menu of the function menus such as a reset condition is selected(502) in accordance with the user's input(502a). An existing function and an automatic reset information is read(503). At this time, the data on the automatic reset information is displayed on the displayer to be readable by the user. The automatic reset information is modified(504), so that the value and condition of the selected information can be modified. The selected automatic reset information is stored, and then it is displayed that an automatic reset mode has been set(505).
