PURPOSE: A silicone rubber containing nephrite powder which has an improved physical strength and mechanical strength and a method for preparing thereof are provided. CONSTITUTION: A silicone rubber containing the nephrite powder is prepared by mixing 10-30 wt. parts of nephrite powder having 100-1,000 mesh with silicone compound and then extruding the mixture, wherein the nephrite powder consists of 35% of Si, 10% of Mg, 4.9% of Ca, 0.23% of Fe, 0.16% of Al, 0.17% of Cu, 0.046% of Co. 0.14% of Mn, 0.024% of Sn, 0.00072% of Be, 0.00135 of Ag, 0.0038% of Ti, 0.0028% of Ni and 0.003% of Cr according to the Semy Quantitative Analysis and the silicone compound is prepared by mixing filler, vulcanizing agent and accelerating agent with at least one silicone selected from the group consisting of dimethylsilicone, methylphenylsilicone, methylvinylsilicone, methylphenylsilicone and methyltetramersilicone.
