PURPOSE: An apparatus for notifying a transmitter equipped in a mobile communication terminal and a method for the same are provided to improve convenience for using the terminal by generating different output signals according to transmitters so that a user can selectively communicate with a transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A data input unit(22) allows a user to input a password to a certain transmitter. A memory(30) stores the data input via the data input unit(22) such as the password, voice, light emitting color and name. A microcomputer(10) requests a password when a phone call is made via an external telephone network, identifies a transmitter according to the input password, and controls overall operations of the system of the terminal. A display unit(40) displays the transmitter's name coupled to the password in response to the result of the transmitter identification by the microcomputer(10).
