PURPOSE: A method for setting display mode automatically according to the type of provided program guide is provided to set display mode automatically for user's convenience. CONSTITUTION: A method for setting display mode automatically according to the type of provided program guide includes a first and a second steps. At the first step, bit stream including at least one program or more than one programs is or are parsed(20), and the type of program guide stored in the bit stream is identified(22). At the second step, display modes(24a,24b) of the program guide information are set according to the type of program guide. |
