METHOD FOR DISPLAYING BACKGROUND PICTURE IN CELLULAR PHONE

PURPOSE: A method for displaying a background picture in a cellular phone is provided to display the background picture desired by a user on a display unit of the cellular phone, by downloading the background picture via a computer to store it in a memory mounted in the cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: A controller detects a key input for the selection of the background picture(300). The controller sequentially reads still image data on the background pictures which are stored in a flesh memory, and then displays them with their selection numbers on the display unit for a certain time(302). If a key input occurs during the display, the controller set the background picture corresponding to the key input and stores it in the flesh memory(306). If a selection number is inputted while the background pictures are displayed(308), the controller set the background picture corresponding to the selection number and stores it in the flesh memory(306).
