METHOD FOR CONTOLLING BOTH SINGLE STREAM MPEG AND STILL PICTURES

PURPOSE: A method for controlling both of single stream MPEG and still pictures is provided to handle a video conference of a high quality with limited system resources. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling both of single stream MPEG and still pictures includes four steps. The method uses a general MPEG decoder. At the first step, a current motion picture is stored as a still picture data when a change command of the current motion picture is applied. At the second step, the still picture image is displayed on a predetermined location using the stored still picture data and the motion picture source is changed. At the third step, the still picture is removed and the changed motion picture is displayed when the source is changed.
