PURPOSE: A system for monitoring a power supply in an optical terminating device of a very high speed communication network is provided to improve efficiency in the management of various devices on the network with a low cost, and thereby guarantee reliability of the network, by installing monitoring devices at each part of the optical terminating device to detecting the state of the applied power supply. CONSTITUTION: A power supply monitoring device(20) is installed at each part of the optical terminating device, and detects an alarm state applied from a high pressure pad(50) and low pressure pad. A signal converter(30) converts the signals of an operation power supply from a rectifier(10), to the signals of a voltage and current for operating instruments of the power supply monitoring device(20). A central monitoring device(40) is connected to the power supply monitoring device(20) via a communication network, searches received data, stores it and outputs it. The central monitoring device(40) comprises a computer equipped with a modem(26). |
