PURPOSE: A credit settlement system using mobile communication phone numbers are provided to use mobile communication phone numbers as a reliable credit settlement unit by adding a confirmation stage for purchaser identification and credit settlement specifications in executing credit settlement through credit cards and electronic commerce on an internet. CONSTITUTION: In a credit settlement approval system, a credit information data base for mobile communication phone numbers is set up(S1). A purchaser selects goods through internet electronic commerce and requests credit settlement using his mobile communication phone number(S2). A merchant transmits transaction specifications to the credit settlement approval system through the computer network and requests confirmation for the transaction(S3). A credit settlement approver in the credit settlement approval system evaluates the possibility of credit settlement for the mobile communication phone number and transaction specifications requested for confirmation(S4). The credit settlement approver announces the transaction specifications and a transaction confirmation number to the mobile communication terminal of the purchaser through short message service(S5). |
