METHOD FOR SEARCHING BASE STATION BY USING CODE REUSE

PURPOSE: A method for searching base station by using code reuse is provided to increase the area of mobile communication service by operating without GPS signal in the CDMA mobile communication system and decrease calling interruption rate by decreasing mobile communication calling process time and converting calling at high speed in hand off, thereby improving calling process completion rate. CONSTITUTION: A terminal detects the corresponding pair of codes by using an index code which is equal phase component of a pilot channel for searching the optimum base station to communicate with. Base station code is determined by the detected pair of codes. A frame is searched to confirm the time arrangement of a traffic channel and the pilot channel of the base station.
