PURPOSE: A backlight unit for liquid display panel is provided to fix a light conduction plate on a mold frame without using direct connection between the frame and the plate. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit for liquid display panel includes a lamp, a lamp embrace, a rectangular light conduction plate(1), and a sheet material. The lamp embrace surrounds the lamp. The rectangular light conduction plate(1) is inserted touching the lamp embrace. The rectangular light conduction plate also transfers a light from the lamp forwards. The sheet material is formed on the front face of the light conduction plate and transfers the light from the rectangular light conduction plate to the liquid crystal panel. A stationary stopper is implemented on the inside of the lamp embrace.
