PURPOSE: A structure for preventing superheating of a linear compressor is provided to minimize high heat of a refrigerant gas generated when compressed in the line end part, transmitted to a discharging gas, thereby minimizing the suction loss of the refrigerant gas. CONSTITUTION: In a linear compressor including a frame(1) installed in an airtight container for fixing a motor, a cylinder(10) installed in a through hole of the frame(1), a piston(3) inserted in the inside of the cylinder(10) for performing a rectilineal reciprocation by the motor, a discharging cover(4) fixed in the frame to open the line section of the cylinder(10), and a discharging valve(20) mounted detachably in the line section when the piston(3) performs the rectilineal reciprocation, a structure for preventing superheating of a linear compressor includes a sealing shoulder part in the detachable surface of the discharging valve so that the part of the sealing shoulder part is inserted in the line section of the cylinder when the discharging valve closes, to form a compressed space which is to be formed in the inside of the cylinder in the contour of the discharging valve.
