PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for coupling a tire of a wheel balance measuring device for vehicles are provided to automatically fix a fixing part for fixing the tire and measure the balance during vertical movement of the measuring device by a cylinder so that the balance may be conveniently measured regardless of the size of the tire. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for coupling a tire of a wheel balance measuring device for vehicles includes a main body(1), a fixing prop(2) mounted at one side of the main body, a moving prop(3) coupled in the fixing prop, a measuring device(4) for measuring wheel balance on the moving prop, a driving motor(5) mounted at one side of the moving prop, and an vertical movement element(6) such as a cylinder mounted between the fixing prop and the moving prop, wherein the measuring device moves up and down in response to the vertical movement of the up/down movement element so that a tire is fixed on a fixing part without using any additional lift.
