METHOD FOR CONVERTING CHANNEL WHEN BROADCASTING ADVERTISE ON TELEVISION

PURPOSE: A method for converting a channel is provided to convert into a selected channel when an advertise broadcast is ended after the advertise broadcast has been automatically converted into a predetermined channel which is broadcasting a broadcast genre during the advertise broadcast is performed on the selected channel. CONSTITUTION: A method for converting a channel includes a first through sixth steps. The first step is to determine whether to convert a channel or not when an advertise is broadcasted. The second step is to determine whether a received broadcasting program is the advertise broadcast or not when the channel is converted. The third step is to determine whether to set an automatic channel conversion or not when broadcasting the advertise if the received broadcasting program is the advertise broadcast. The fourth step is to store the currently selected channel information, and automatically convert the channel, if the automatic channel conversion is set when broadcasting the advertise. The fifth step is to store by receiving by one frame a broadcasting signal of periodically previous channel, and determines whether the advertise broadcast is ended or not. The sixth step is to return to the previous channel when the advertise broadcast is ended.
