PURPOSE: A method for sensing a key input of data input apparatus is provided to sense a key inputted, when the key touch is off, in an apparatus for inputting data, and sense the key input preventing an equal key in advance, inputted successively by an user's error for a while. CONSTITUTION: A method for sensing a key input of data input apparatus, having a plurality of keys with a parallel structure, comprises the steps of: for a first scan step, retrieving whether a key inputted is or not by reading a data wrote and a vertical line data, after writing a pattern of horizontal line data to the data input apparatus sequently; for a second scan step, operating repeatedly the first scan step, if a key inputted is in the first scan step; and generating the key data, only in case key input values estimated during the first and second scan steps are different.
