PURPOSE: A device is provided to supply a perfect error correction by realizing an error correcting logic without a ROM-writer or a separate equipment. CONSTITUTION: A host(30) receives a user's input for outputting to an interface unit(31). The interface unit converts the input into a JTAG(Joint Test Access Group) command signal, a test mode selecting signal(TMS), and a test clock(TCK) via a JTAG interface protocol. The converted signal is inputted to a TAP controller(32). Then, input data(TDI) for correcting error are outputted to a serial register(53) of a tester(50). Moreover, the TAP controller outputs the test mode selecting signal and the test clock to an error correcting logic(40).
