PURPOSE: A system and method of an electronic commerce is provided so that a consumer can get a discount of a goods or contract price, by converting his/her connection time to a shopping mall or auction mall into money. CONSTITUTION: A system and method of an electronic commerce includes a terminal(10), a server(20) and an open type network(30) connecting the terminal(10) and the server(20). In the server(20), a goods database(21) stores information for the goods to be dealt through the electronic commerce, a commerce module(23) buys, sells or auctions off the goods in the goods database(21), a connection time check module(24) checks a connection time of the terminal(10) to the server(20), a discount calculating module(25) calculates a discount rate or amount according to the connection time, and a final price calculating module(26) calculates a final price by applying the discount rate or amount to a goods price or contract price, and displays the final price on the terminal(10).
