<p>A flying shear is provided with upper and lower shearing blades shearing a running long material from up and down sides, a pair of, upper and lower, drum shafts mounting the upper and lower shearing blades at positions of the same phase, respectively, and upper and lower swing frames supporting the upper and lower drum shafts, wherein fulcrum gears are provided on one side of said upper and lower swing frames in the running direction of the long material, and a shearing blade opening and closing means is provided on the other side of the upper and lower swing frames in the running direction of the long material for swinging the upper and lower swing frames around the fulcrum gears as fulcrums in the up and down direction to open and close said shearing blades, whereby the rigidity of equipment for effecting opening and closing operation of the shearing blades is increased, play in the equipment is made small, the time required for opening and closing the shearing blades is short, and shearing precision can be improved. <IMAGE></p> |
