PURPOSE: A method for controlling television during signal absence is provided to kill the image when signal is absent for a predetermined time interval, and then turn off the television set after another predetermined time interval. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling television during signal absence includes seven steps. At the first step(S100), whether the channel includes signal is determined. At the second step, the sound is killed(S130) and whether the signal absence goes on is determined(S140). At the third step, the sound is restored(S110) when signal comes. At the forth step, the video is killed, and an LED(light emission diode) is turn on(S150) after a predetermined time period of signal absence. At the fifth step(S180), key input is detected for another period of time interval. At the sixth step, sound and video are restore with a key input and the LED is turned off(S170). At the seventh step, the power is turned off(S200) when no key input comes. |
