PURPOSE: A system for conveying prescriptions using bar codes and a method thereof are provided to attach and print a bar code, recording prescription details made out by a doctor, on the prescription. CONSTITUTION: A system for conveying prescriptions using bar codes is composed of a first prescription database(210), a bar code encoding module(220), a bar code scanner(230), a bar code decoding module(240) and a second prescription database(250). The first prescription database(210) stores a prescription recording the condition of a patient. The bar code encoding module(220) records the prescription of the patient recorded in the first prescription database(210) in a bar code. The bar code scanner(230) scans the bar code. The bar code decoding module(240) reads information recorded in the bar code. The second prescription database(250) stores the hospital prescription read from the bar code decoding module(240). |
