PURPOSE: A replaying method of section of a VCR is provided to set decided many sections as a one replaying section, to continuously store an audio and a video signals of the set section in a memory and to continuously replay the video and the audio signals stored in the memory according to a user's section replaying signal. CONSTITUTION: A recording signal of studying is inputted during playing a studying tape. An optional dividing cord to divide a starting position of one section is recorded and an A/V(audio/video) signal played at present is stored in an audio and a video memories at the same time. When a storing pause signal is inputted during storing, a storing operation is temporarily stopped and the audio and the video signal of the studying tape is continuously played. When the recording signal of studying is inputted during playing the studying tape, the A/V signal played at present is continuously stored in the previously stored area of the audio and the video memories. When a stopping signal of studying record is inputted during storing the A/V signal, the storing operation of A/V signal is stopped and the dividing cord to set the A/V signal area stored in the memory until now is recorded. When one section for replaying the section and a replaying number of the section are decided and a signal for replaying the section is fed, the starting point of the decided section is searched by detecting the dividing cord recorded at setting the section.
