RETRY PROTOCOL AND RETRY METHOD IN IEEE 1394 BUS INTERFACE

PURPOSE: A retry protocol and a retry method in an IEEE 1394 bus interface is provided to perform a fast connection process by an inbound using a single phase retry protocol and an outbound using a dual phase retry protocol. CONSTITUTION: A retry protocol and a retry method in an IEEE 1394 bus interface generates a connection request signal or a retry signal through an outbound when requesting connection with other nodes or generates a response signal or a busy signal through an inbound when other nodes request the connection. In the retry protocol in an IEEE 1394 bus interface, the outbound uses a dual phase retry protocol and the inbound uses a single phase retry protocol.
