Color flow imaging for enhancing segmentation and flow dynamics

An ultrasonic imaging system for displaying color flow images includes a receiver (14) which generates color flow signals corresponding to frames obtained from different pulse repetition rates and different numbers of transducer stimulations per beam position. The color flow signals are selected and combined to enable visualization of fluid (e.g., blood) flow dynamics while maintaining segmentation of fluid flow from other tissue. <IMAGE>
