PURPOSE: An optical data player is provided to play back exact data by removing a crosstalk component and by performing a tracking control. CONSTITUTION: In irradiating lights to an optional track(14n), a reflective optical beam by a first and a second optical beams(16A,16B) having a time difference as lambda is projected in an optical detector(30) halved in a track direction. The lambda is a half cycle of a pit row(14) wobble cycle. A crosstalk component(22) has a phase difference of 180 degrees every half cycles(lambda). The crosstalk component(22) by neighboring tracks(14n,14n+2) contained in a reflective optical beam by a first and a second optical beams(18A,18B) has the phase difference of 180 degrees. The crosstalk component is removed by delaying a signal detected by the first optical beams(16A,18A) as the lambda and calculating with a signal detected by the second optical beams(16B,18B). Thereby, an exact data is played back and an exact tracking is performed by detecting a tracking error signal for a tracking control.
