PURPOSE: A winding device of a seat belt is provided to be applied to a small vehicle and to improve assembling efficiency by reducing the number of components. CONSTITUTION: In a collision of a vehicle, a sensor senses the collision state, supplies current to a wire(32) ignites an explosive in an ignition part and generates gas. Much gas is generated according to the explosion of the explosive and charged in a recessed groove of a piston. The piston is moved along a moving hole of a gas generation case. A horizontal mobile shaft(50) connected to a connecting part of the piston is moved to the left. A first driving pinion(60) interlocked to a rack gear(54) on the bottom extended to an irregular part(52) of the horizontal mobile shaft is rotated, and a second driving pinion(65) supported to a driving shaft(62) is rotated integrally. By the rotation of the second driving pinion, the gear teeth are interlocked to the gear teeth of a driven pinion(70). Thus, the power is transmitted and a driven shaft(72) is rotated. A winding part(25) supported to a support body(10) is rotated integrally. Thereby, a belt(20) is wound in the opposite direction of withdrawal.
