PURPOSE: A method for automatically controlling the volume of a vehicle VCR is provided to automatically adjust the volume of the VCR according to the size of vibration by comparing a reference size of vibration with an inputted size of vibration for outputting a data value of volume control corresponding to the result of comparison. CONSTITUTION: A value(B) of vibration size, a reference vibration size(ref), and plural volume controlling data(A1-An) corresponding to the comparison result of the vibration size value with the reference vibration size are stored in a memory in a controlling unit. A vibration sensor detects the vibration of a motor vehicle according to the traveling state of the motor vehicle and the state of a road for inputting the value of vibration size to the controlling unit. Then, the controlling unit compares the inputted value of vibration size with the reference vibration size. If the value of vibration size is less than the reference vibration size, the present Volume State is maintained. If the value of vibration size is larger than the reference vibration size, the data corresponding to the comparison result are outputted to a volume-controlling unit from the memory in the controlling unit. Therefore, the volume in proportional to the present vibration is outputted.
