HAND-OFF METHOD USING DUMMY FA IN BASE STATION AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION BASE STATION THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A hand-off method using dummy FA in a base station and a mobile communication base station therefor are provided to improve a wireless circumstance by using a dummy FA(frequency allocation) between sectors in a base station for enhancing a success rate of a hard hand-off between allocated frequencies. CONSTITUTION: An RF processing unit(610) performs a wireless connection function through a forward link and a backward link between a digital processing unit(620) and a mobile station. The digital processing unit(620) modulates and demodulates a signal of the RF processing unit(610) and an exchange and generates a dummy FA with a certain frequency. An interface unit(630) performs an interface to a signal and traffic of the exchange. A base station control unit(640) controls a base station so that an FA hand-off between sectors is performed using the dummy FA when occurring a hand-off.
