PURPOSE: A method is provided to recognize the real working mode of a boiler and defect of a three-way valve by operating a limit switch and to prevent waste of fuel. CONSTITUTION: A user selects a working mode in a room control, and then a control unit decides the working mode and transmits a signal to a limit switch if the user selects a heating mode. The control unit transmits a signal to a flow sensor in a hot-water mode. The control unit sends a signal when a heating limit switch is contacted through the normal action of a three-way valve. Then, the control unit performs the normal heating mode and displays that a boiler operates in the heating mode. However, if the heating limit switch is not contacted through disorder or misoperation of the three-way valve, the control unit transfers a signal to display the disorder of the three-way valve.
