METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING INTERACTIVE ELECTRONIC TECHNICAL MANUAL SYSTEM UNDER CALS DISTINCTION DISTRIBUTED TYPE CIRCUMSTANCE

PURPOSE: A method for constructing the IETM(Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) system under the CALS distinction distributed type circumstance is provided to detect and manage the data needed to IETM system, while maintaining the data of distributed condition so that it solves the overhead of data management. CONSTITUTION: A method for constructing the IETM system under the CALS distinction distributed type circumstance comprises a Data Source Conversion System(1), a CDM(Content Data Model)/Metadata Catalog System(2), and a Local Data Adapter(3). The Data Source Conversion System(1) includes a Client Interface(10) and a Multi Database Management Module(20) and performs the principal function of multi database management system. The CDM/Metadata Catalog System(2) includes a CDM & metadata Authoring & Registration Tool(30), a CDM & Metadata Database(40) and a CDM & Metadata Manager(50), manages the CDM so that it efficiently stores and manages the directory information and dictionary information to the IETM data and catalogs the metadata for detecting a need metadata. The Local Data Adapter(3) manages the local data source storing the data, interfaces the file system of local data source or its database, and detects/provides the need data according to the Data Source Conversion System(1).
