PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a processor link path of a full electronic switching system is provided to reduce the number of U-link path lines by transmitting a watch doc command as being carried on a U-link path for data transmission. CONSTITUTION: A signal generator generates a reset signal to initialize the whole board on which an active processor is mounted, in case that the active processor of a switching system is released from the board or an error such as a function failure occurs. Command generators(14,24) generate a watch doc command signal in a predetermined period, and hold up generation of watch doc command signals according to the reset signal output from the signal generator. A U-link path(40) switches the path between the active processor and the standby processor, holds a data signal and the watch doc command signal and transmits them. A command processing unit(34) detects the interruption of the watch doc command signal transmitted from the U-link path and generates a signal to inform that an error was generated in the active processor. A link duplexing controller(36) controls in a manner of switching the U-link path to the standby processor in response to the error signal generated from the command processor.
