摘要

PURPOSE: A multimedia mail telephone is provided to store multimedia mail information while a receiver is away by leaving a message of a transmitter through an audio and a video using a video telephone while the receiver is away. CONSTITUTION: A modem(10) modulates and demodulates a video/audio signal to transmit and receive the video/audio signal through a telephone network. A video compressing unit(30) compresses a self-video from a camera. An audio compressing unit(40) compresses an audio data from a mike. A multiplexing unit(20) multiplexes a compressed video and audio data. A demultiplexing unit(50) divides data of a transmitter into an audio and video data. A video recovering unit(60) recovers the compressed video data. An audio recovering unit(70) recovers the compressed audio data. A memory unit(80) stores a message of the transmitter while a receiver is away. A multimedia mail managing unit(90) adjusts a data path between the receiver and the transmitter and manages the memory unit(80). A switch(100) switches the data path according to a control signal from the multimedia mail managing unit(90).
